Casa Nao

La Casa de Nao was named after the three letters painted on the wall to the right of the front door, which when spoken in Spanish sounds like the word “now” from English.

For now, this traditional Mayan built home is in fair condition and its roof may withstand another two or three years of alternating cycles of annual extremely dry and extremely wet weather. However, without proper maintenance it will quickly fall into disrepair and disappear before the end of the decade. Casa de Toj2 would love to find donors or perhaps a single benefactor that would like to adopt the conservation of the roof on this enduring symbol of our shared history as human beings.
